Two license types exist: bring-your-own consumption lounges, and hospitality & sales venues that can also sell product to consume on site. Local governments must opt in, and city rules vary — some allow only vaping, dabbing, and edibles rather than indoor flower smoking.
Licensed marijuana hospitality venues cannot sell or allow alcohol. Food is limited to prepackaged items, pastries, and hot non-alcoholic drinks unless the venue holds separate food-service authorization.
Entry and sales are restricted to guests 21 and older. Valid, government-issued ID is required.
