URB’N Dispensary opened in Newark’s historic Ironbound neighborhood in 2023 as the first fully licensed dispensary in the city — woman-owned, pharmacist-owned, and independently operated. The shop won Weedmaps Best Boutique Dispensary and Leafly Best Dispensary in back-to-back years. In February 2026, URB’N added the first legal cannabis consumption lounge in North Jersey with a grand-opening party thrown by Glass Meadows / Rosin King of Jersey, complete with vintage arcade cabinets and a Super Smash Bros. tournament.
The dispensary’s THC beverage selection is widely called the deepest in New Jersey — a rotating shelf of infused sodas, seltzers, shots, and functional drinks that repeat visitors and out-of-state cannabis tourists specifically call out. New Jersey rules bar the lounge itself from selling drinks or food, but guests can buy beverages downstairs, bring in sealed non-alcoholic drinks from outside, and hang.
Late-night hours give Newark something the rest of North Jersey doesn’t have: a legal place to consume cannabis after 10 p.m. on weekends. Four minutes from Newark Airport, walking distance from Penn Station and the Prudential Center.
